Just throw your garbage away properly! It was good to see a large, diverse group out there today. Had the crap floating around today been in a more upscale neighborhood, I'm sure people wouldn't stand for it. But this is the Anacostia. Crap flows downstream into a less, well-off neighborhood and it's the people who probably don't have as much leisure time to participate in clean-ups who turn out and try to make a difference. Big turnout, but unfortunately, you need to do this once a week just to maintain what we did today, but it's a start.
